1. Atlanta Braves - This team is deep, has one of the best records in the league, and should be able to sustain this pace into the playoffs.
2. Boston Red Sox - Really solid team, has been performing well all season, and at this point they should be able to coast to the finals with no teams close to their level in the AL.
3. Milwaukee Brewers - Another really good team, with virtually no gaping holes. They should be able to ride Braun, and Justin Upton deep into the playoffs.
4. Washington Nationals - This team has just scooped up valuable free agents all season long, and has made great trades that make this team very deep, and a championship contender.
5. New York Mets - Scary to think that this team is only in third place. Really good team that seems to have found an ace out of nowhere in Derrick Holland.
6. Colorado Rockies - Not the deepest team in the league, but their core is as good as anybodys with Tulo, Cano, Stanton and a deep SP core.
7. Los Angeles Dodgers - Might seem like a surprise pick, but this team is really solid, and could cause some damage if they get to the playoffs.
8. Cincinnati Reds - Really good team, with an amazing pitching staff, and a promising young offense.
9. Seattle Mariners - A little sad that the second best AL team doesn't come until number 9. This team has 2 of the top 5 SP in the league, and in the playoffs this team could be dangerous if either pitcher makes 2 starts a week.
10. Detroit Tigers - Solid team that is solid at every position, and could ride studs like Miggy and Cliff Lee deep into the playoffs.
11. San Francisco Giants - I think this teams record is a little better than their actual roster. The team is solid, but has a lot of question marks moving forward.
12. Chicago Cubs - This team is okay, but has only 1 RP on their roster, and needs a rebound second half from Adam Dunn in order to do any damage.
13. Philadelphia Phillies - This team has done a lot better than expected, mostly because of a strong rotation, and breakout seasons from Mike Morse, and Matt Harrison.
14. New York Yankees - This team probably should have been more active at the trade deadline. The team is solid, but has holes outside of their #1 and 2 SP with Halladay, and Sabathia.
15. Kansas City Royals - This team has overachieved, but are probably about a league average team. Hardy has been on fire, and this team has a chance of winning a game or 2 in the playoffs.
16. Minnesota Twins - Really solid team that has a chance of pulling off a few upsets in the weak AL.
17. Toronto Blue Jays - I think this team should have elected against dealing Hamilton, because this is still a really solid team. Great Pitching staff with a ton of quality SP, and a solid offense.
18. Pittsburgh Pirates - Decent team that has faired slightly better than expected, similar to the real life Pirates. Good bullpen, and offense that could get hot.
19. Houston Astros - Rayne has done a fabulous job of rebuilding this team. Team could build around Prince, and could have a healthy Johan down the stretch.
20. Chciago White Sox - This team would have faired better in the power rankings if they hadn't dealt Ubaldo Jimenez and Andrus for prospects. Was a fringe playoff team, but at least now they have a direction.
21. Los Angeles Angels - This team has been pretty disappointing so far this season. They are solid everywhere, other than their rotation, which is keeping them from contention.
22. St. Louis Cardinals - Adrian Gonzalez is on this team, and him alone prevents them from going any lower in these rankings. I expect this team to be a top 10 team next season, but this season, they are going to miss the playoffs.
23. San Diego Padres - This team is alright with Pujols, but is not good enough in any area to be ranked much higher.
24. Tampa Bay Rays - They chose to rebuild, when they probably could have made a run this season, but they should also be a top 10 team next season.
25. Florida Marlins - If this team had a GM, they probably would be a lot better off. This is a good team, with Jose Bautista, and solid prospects.
26. Oakland Athletics - A pretty solid team, but a lot of guys have had disappointing seasons, such as Mauer, and Brett Anderson having TJ surgery. They also lack some depth.
27. Baltimore Orioles - Mess of a team that needs to full out rebuild and utilize their cap space over the off season.
28. Arizona Diamondbacks - This team never had a direction, and now has a relatively weak farm system along with a bad MLB team.
29. Cleveland Indians - Some promising young prospects could have this team contending in a few years if they build around Pineda and Lawrie[/u]
30. Texas Rangers - This team was build awfully, and now has a bunch of specs to show for their roster. Some of the prospects are good however, and this team has some promise.
