1. Atlanta Braves- This team has an amazing lineup, and a bench better than most teams' lineups. Unbelievable hitting depth and a great pen gives them the number 1 spot, but they have some SP concerns.
2. Milwaukee Brewers- Very good lineup, very good rotation, very good bullpen. This team does not have any major holes, and should be a consistent team throughout the season.
3. New York Mets- Nearly the opposite of the Braves. Unbelievable Rotation, and good lineup, but they lack some hitting depth and have a lowly bullpen. Would have been #2 before they dealt Reynolds.
4. San Francisco Giants- WS champs have a pretty good lineup, and a great staff that should keep them in a close race at the top of the NL West.
5. Colorado Rockies- Staff took a big hit with Wainwright going down, and lineup has a few big bats and lacks major depth, but they still have a strong staff and great pen that should lead them to success.
6. Boston Red Sox- Overall not the same team as in real life, but this team is still really solid. They have no major holes and could get even stronger with a few trades.
7. Florida Marlins- This team has the potential to be top 5 if Cargo and Bautista can repeat, and overall this is a really nice team. Solid rotation, along with good depth and a good pen should make this team a deep playoff contender.
8. Los Angeles Angels- This team could have been better if Utley wasn't out. Right now they have a strong lineup, a weak rotation, and a very strong bullpen. They should be a playoff contender.
9. New York Yankees- Solid all around team and should be a playoff contendor. They have a decent lineup, a good front 2 in their rotation, and pretty weak bullpen.
10. Toronto Blue Jays- Very solid offense and rotation along with a good bullpen has them at #10. They don't quite have any automatic studs in their rotation, and there are some offensive questions which prevent them from being ranked higher.
11. Washington Nationals- Their lineup alone has them ranked this highly, along with a good pen, but their rotation needs some serious help and luck.
12. Seattle Mariners- Very nice trades made by the Mariners have them here, competing for a playoff spot. They have a nice front 3 in their rotation with a weak back end, and a solid lineup that lacks depth, but this team has the assets down the road to make a deal to get better.
13. Cincinnati Reds- Good team with some question marks, but overall should make the playoffs. They are solid at most positions and have a really nice young staff. Could improve if their prospects succeed.
14. Los Angeles Dodgers- Another good team that should fight for a playoff spot. This team is well rounded, and could be another potential top 10 if their young pen performs, and if their lineup succeeds. Rotation is a question mark, but has some solid guys.
15. Chicago White Sox- This team has the potential to be a top 10 team, and I love the depth that they have, but there are still many question marks throughout their roster. If Kemp can bounce back, and Peavy return closer to form, then this team will be dangerous throughout the playoffs.
16. Chicago Cubs- Good overall team that should contend for a playoff spot, but they lack some depth through the pen and rotation that could leave them on the outside looking in.
17. Detroit Tigers- Another solid team with no glaring holes, and a team that should compete to make the playoffs. It seems they lack a little rotation depth, and are weak at a few positions in their lineup, but overall, should be fairly successful.
18. Oakland Athletics- Another solid team, but I believe they lack offense and they may have a harder time making the playoffs. Andrew Bailey could be a big X factor if he can make a speedy recovery and if their OF specs perform in 2011, then this team could make the playoffs.
19. Arizona Diamondbacks- This was a team that lacked depth all off season and improved quite a bit, but still lacks a little bit. They have some questions in their lineup, but they are hoping that their OF and strong rotation carries them throughout the season.
20. Tampa Bay Rays- I know this team is rebuilding, but I still think they may be able to pull a 7 seed in the AL playoff chase. They have a great farm now, but could be carried be Heyward, Elong, and a nice front 3 in their staff.
21. Minnesota Twins- Decent team, and is probably the last of the remaining playoff contenders. They have a solid roster, but lack of depth and some lineup holes could prevent them from making a playoff run.
22. Philadelphia Phillies- Not a bad team by any means, but it may be tough for them to make the playoffs in a strong NL. They have some nice pieces that they could potentially package to become a better team.
23. Houston Astros- Much, much improved team since Rayne took over. They now have a solid lineup, a solid rotation, with the potential for a better one should Johan return close to form. This team lacks a pen, but could surprise in their 1st season.
24. San Diego Padres- Pujols could carry this team close to a playoff contender, but I believe this team will fall short. They aren't especially strong at any given position other than where Pujols is, but they aren't really weak anywhere either. Could surprise some people.
25. St. Louis Cardinals- Rebuilding team, but like the Rays, still have some solid pieces. Gonzo should be big in Fenway, and Latos is very good, and this team gets even better if Montero plays in 2011. This team probably won't be great in 2011, but could be a playoff team in 2012.
26. Baltimore Orioles- This team is not all that bad, and they have a solid OF and ARod could bounce back to top 5 level. They do however have a bunch of tradeable pieces that they could potentially use to improve their club. This team could perform better than 26, but pitching holes could prevent them.
27. KC Royals- Nasty farm system that could have them as a top 5 team by 2013, and a top 15 team by 2012. For this year however, they are the FA team, that took a loss by trading some of its signee's for more specs.
28. Pittsburgh Pirates- This team has mostly stayed the same but I believe downgraded from McCutchen to Bay. They have some nice pieces though, and could benefit from making a few deals. For 2011, this team will likely hover near the bottom.
29. Texas Rangers- Another rebuilding team, and this team has quite a few assets they can use down the road, but I thought this team could have contended with their original roster. Probably sold short on a few of their stud for specs trades, and they still have a good, but not outstanding farm that could have them in contention by 2013.
30. Cleveland Indians- This team does not have all that much MLB talent, but they do have some really nice prospects. I love the outlook on some of their specs such as Pineda and Lawrie, and I see this team as a contender in a few years. If they used their resources to sign FA like the Royals did, this team would have been in better shape.
